Storing poles (whisker or spinnaker) vertically up the forward face of the mast has become very popular. It clears the decks and keeps the cruising sailor from having to lift the entire weight of the pole from the deck to the mast car.

In the late 1970’s we (Forespar) undertook a search for a material that could replace the traditional bronze plumbing components used in boats. The frequency of severe and often catastrophic corrosion and the problem of conductivity in bronze had long been a source of frustration for yacht designers and boat builders.
