A Line Driver is a clean and efficient deck part whose purpose is to support mainsheet traveler adjustment. It works by connecting to a traveller in a closed circuit and it does the job of moving the traveller port and starboard without a winch.
The control system is connected to a traveler on a closed circuit and ensures efficient control and a clean layout for systems such as the mainsail sheet.
Line drivers mount a self-tailing sheave which operates in both directions with a textile gripping system that is efficient even if the circuit is not under strain and causes no wear in the rope. This is a solution done for the control of the main car with a simple self-tailing sheave on the deck, with a motor and gearbox under the deck. Three sizes are available in 700, 1000 and 1500 W motors in 12 or 24 Volt version.
Now available LD1500 Hydraulic powered line driver.
